We are looking for an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join our fabulous site, The Village in Moseley.
Suburban Inns is a small independent pub and hotel group with venues in the West Midlands. We currently have a vacancy for an experienced sous chef at The Village Moseley, a bar/restaurant in the lovely Moseley Village.
At Suburban Inns we pride ourselves on delivering outstanding service and top quality fresh food served in stylish but comfortable surroundings.
You will be working alongside a team of talented chefs. You will get to create quality dishes using fresh ingredients (sourced locally where possible) and you will have the opportunity to give your input and ideas towards a menu that changes over the year.
Experience and Duties:
- A calm and organised Sous Chef that will work hard to support the Head Chef and Management team, and aid in the development of the team
- Help create and cost new menus
- An experienced catering professional, who has high standards, passion, and understands the need for controlling profit and hygiene
- Understand and appreciate seasonal, quality, fresh food
- Ability to use back office platforms and able to use a computer
- Experience in stock taking
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef, or Junior Sous
- Excellent time management, a strong work ethic and strong interpersonal skills are essential
